Blast the heap apart and you can collect some scrap, in addition to the first of three protoss relics. You can wander outside the base with your marines via the southern path and note the heap of scrap in front of a glowing protoss relic. Instead, use your starting marines to wander around the base area and collect the few scrap minerals (they're cubes of goodness) and build more SCVs.īonus Objective | Find protoss relic contraband (3) You'll soon get a new unit type that you'll want to build rapidly (hence the reactor), but for now leave the factory empty. Add a tech lab to your barracks so you can train medics and a modest army of marines, and add a reactor to the factory but don't build anything with it yet. Whatever resources you spend on building will eat into your collection, but you should still start the mission with rapid expanion on the mind. The goal here is to collect 6,000 minerals before the opposing contractor, Orlan, beats you to the count. Main Objective | Buy merc contract before Orlan Select small groups of three to four marines to kill the medics quickly so that they don't get to heal too much. You want to reduce incoming damage quickly, so you have to reduce the numbers. Focus fire is very important, because medics obviously heal much slower than three to four marines doing damage. Remember to stem your marines before every engagement and micro quickly to keep marines alive. Taking ground in the middle is important, because attacking forces often attack from there, and you need to safely place spider mines there.Īttack every group of enemies along the way, and pick up the scraps on the sides. Avoid the top middle-right, and avoid pushing too far to the left. Use a couple of vultures to kill off the command centers after your marine force has cleared out the enemies form around them. Just move around the map, but avoid the command centers until you have a sizable force. Your mines will spot for approaching enemies that you must prepare for. Lay mines a fair distance away from your base, and watch the mini-map. Reinforce your attack group, but keep some marines and medics at home. Don't rally new units directly to your attack group. Eventually you want to make a reactor with the factory and swap your barracks onto that. Add medics as you feel you need, but keep in mind that if you focus fire stemmed marines, lots of medics shouldn't be needed. Make two medics, and the constantly make marines. When you begin, don't make an add-on with the barracks. You also will need a force to defend your base, but defense will also heavily rely on the vultures and spider mines. Basically, you want to take a group of marines and medics around to grab as many mineral pickups as you can.

For this Achievement you should buy all the marine and medic upgrades from the Armory console.
